PRE CARE

• If you have very oily skin get a facial one week prior to the procedure to equilibrate your skin’s PH levels.
• No eyebrow tinting, sun, soap, sauna, jacuzzi, pool, river, lake or in the ocean until the area of the procedure is completely are healed (7 to 10 days).
• Don’t use any vitamin A, E & C or skin care products (Retinol-A, acids) for two weeks prior to your procedure.
• Do not take aspirin, ibuprofen, fish oils, vitamin E and niacin.
• Do not take any prescription blood thinners 48 hours prior to and after your procedure.
• Don’t use any exfoliation or skin care products close to the brow area one week prior to your procedure.
• No waxing, laser or electrolysis one week before procedure.
• Do not have any chemical peels, dermabrasion, or any other intense treatments which will cause faster skin cell rejuvenating and cause skin irritation 3-4 weeks before procedure.
• No Botox or fillers in the procedure area before and after at least two weeks prior.
• If you experience any itching, swelling, blistering, red streaks, elevated temperature, or purulent drainage call your doctor immediately.
• If you have iron deficiency make sure you take iron pills for 3 weeks and stop taking one week prior to the procedure. You must ask your doctor for dosages.

AFTER CARE

Most frequently asked questions always revolve around aftercare instructions, wet V.S. dry healing, what products are best, and the day-by-day healing process itself. If you follow the right aftercare procedure, you will ensure a speedy recovery, client comfort, and prevent complications such as infection.

• 1st day
• Don't get your eyebrows WET at the first day.
• 2nd-5th day
• Wash daily to remove bacteria, build up of product and oils, and dead skin.(Don't worry, THIS DOES NOT REMOVE THE PIGMENTI)
• Gently wash around your eyebrows each morning and night with cold water and antibacterial/ mild soap. Rinse with water ensuring that all soap is rinsed
away.
• To dry, gently pat with a clean tissue. DO NOT use any cleansing products containing acids (glycolic, lactic, or AHA), or exfoliants.
• Apply a tiny amount of healing eyebrow gel (the one you got from me) or aquaphor, 3 times a day with a cotton swab and spread it across the treated area.
• Be sure not to over-apply, as this will suffocate your skin and delay healing. The product should be barely noticeable on the skin.
• Healing process is for 10 days, after these 10 days brush out your brows and start applying sunscreen everyday. You want to make sure you are protecting the color from the sun.

TIPS

• Use a fresh pillowcase while you sleep.
• Let any scabbing or dry skin naturally exfoliate away. Picking can scarring or loss of color.
• No facials, botox, chemical treatments or microdermabrasion for 4 weeks after the procedure.
• Avoid hot, sweaty exercise for one week.
• Avoid direct sun exposure or tanning for 4 weeks after the procedure. Wear a hat when outdoors.
• Avoid long hot showers for the first 10 days
• Avoid sleeping fon your face for the first 10 days.
• Avoid face-down swimming, lakes, and hot tubs for the first 10 days
• Avoid topical makeup and sunscreen until the healing process is over.
• DO NOT rub, pick, or scratch the treated area.
• Limit your showers to 5 minutes so that you do not create too much steam. Keep your face/procedure area out of the water while you wash your body, then, at the end of your shower, wash your hair.
• Your face should only be getting wet only at the end of the shower.
• Avoid excessive rinsing and hot water on the treated area.
• No makeup, tinting of lashes or eyebrows, sun, soap, sauna, jacuzzi, swimming in chlorine pool, river, lake or in the ocean until the area of the procedure
is completely healed (7 to 10 days).
• Discontinue any vitamin A, E & C or skin care products (Retinol-A, acids) to the enhancement area for two weeks prior to your procedure (I recommend NOT using these products over or around the brow area after you receive Semi-Permanent Makeup procedure it could cause fading and distortion of hair strokes)
• No Botox or fillers in the you procedure area before and after at least two weeks prior.

WHAT TO EXPECT DURING AND AFTER YOUR EYEBROW SESSION

• The entire healing process will take from 4-6 weeks depending on your body regeneration and age. Your new eyebrows will go through several phases during the healing cycle.
• The pigment will appear very unnatural looking immediately after the procedure. The color of the pigment will appear much darker the next day.
• Note that because of natural skin regeneration, after recovery period (peeling), brows might appear lighter than the original. This might give you the impression that color is fading too quickly. Often even with proper care, clients may have more fading in some areas which make the brows look uneven. It is absolutely normal. That's the reason why most clients need a touchup after 6 weeks.
• Once the healing of the skin starts taking place, it will look like dandruff flakes or dry skin. However, this is just superficial color and dry skin being naturally removed from your eyebrows.  The final look of your eyebrows will be apparent approximately 30 days after your procedure.
• Never rub the treated area as it will disturb the skin from natural healing.
• Once completely healed, always apply a layer of sunscreen SPF 30 up to SPF 50 on your eyebrows when exposed to the sun.  Sun exposure might cause the color pigment to fade away more quickly. 
• When using foundation, avoid the area of your healed eyebrows. If foundation covers healed brows, your eyebrows will appear lighter.
• You can now enjoy your beautiful new eyebrows. You will simply love your new gorgeous fresh look!

PRE CARE

• Start moisturizing your lips every night at least one week prior to the procedure with Vaseline or Aquaphor.
• You will want to start a lip scrub once a day for 3 days before your procedure so that your lips are prepped and don't have a rough texture and exfoliate 1 day before appointment. Do not over scrub to the point that you have raw or compromised skin.
• Do not have Botox or fillers 2 weeks prior to the procedure.
• Do not take an Aspirin; Ibuprofen or fish oil.
• Do not wax your upper lip one week prior to the procedure.
• Avoid blood thinners: Advil, Ibuprofen, Excedrin, Aspirin, Coumadin, Warfarin, Fish Oil, Vitamin E Oil, Primrose Oil, Magnesium and Alcohol.
• If you have iron deficiency make sure you take iron pills for 3 weeks and stop taking one week prior to the procedure. You must ask your doctor for dosages.
• Please eat before the procedure, since you want normal blood sugar levels for any tattooing procedure. You will not feel like eating after (And you have to wait 3 hours for any food)
• VERY IMPORTANT: If you have a history of cold sores you'll need to start taking an antiviral prescription (Valacyclovir, Denavir (penciclovir), Valtrex or acyclovir (Zovirax)), at least a week BEFORE your proposed procedure. Cold sore outbreaks are often triggered by stress or trauma to the lips and skin. Therefore if you are a carrier, lip blush will likely cause an outbreak if you do not take an antiviral medication prior. This may happen if you have a low immune system. Your appointment WILL be cancelled if you ever had a history of cold sores and do not follow this instruction (with cancellation fees). This is because cold sores will affect the healing/results and can even lead to scarring. So please do not skip this step, you will be happy you didn't and have better results. **Cold sores may not happen to everybody but it's just a precaution

AFTER CARE

• Swelling/scabbing stage of the healing (usually done within 3 days)
• Please apply moisturizer (the one I sell or aquaphor) EVERYDAY, ALL THE TIME. Do not let you lips dry out for the first 5-7 days.
• Do not eat or drink (except water), for the first 3 hours following procedure. Do not drink hot beverages for the first 2-3 days (or use a straw, so that the drink isn't hot on the lips). After eating rinse mouth with mouth wash for the first couple days - DO NOT RUB lips or try to exfoliate dead/shedding skin in ANY WAY.
• If the area starts to get itchy, this is normal, don’t itch the area. This can cause scars and poor healing
• NO exercising for first 24 hours.
• Do not touch the newly tattooed areas with your uncleaned fingers. Wash your hands every time you apply the moisturizer
• Try and sleep on your back. Sleeping on your side or stomach could increase the risk of pulling off healing skin, causing pigment to come out with the scabs.
• Do not pick or itch the flaking, scabbing skin. This could pull the pigment out and cause scarring (flaking and scabs are natural reactions and should fall off on their own COMPLETELY). Even small amounts of picking, or "helping" a scab fall off can drastically change how much fading occurs and cause a very patchy and undesirable result
• No sun/tanning beds for at least 2 weeks. Understand that any tanning/sun exposure will fade the pigment and possibly change its color over time, even after the healing is completed. Consider purchasing SPF lip balm and start using 7 days post procedure, to protect the lips and extend the best color possible (I recommend SunBum lip balm)
• You can use lip makeup/gloss on lips after 14 days.
• No HOT showers, exercising, or saunas directly after the procedure. Shower pressure should not go directly on the tattooed area for 10-14 days. Wait 2 weeks to submerge face in a swimming pool/hot tub.
• Color changes occur during the healing and are completely normal. During the healing you may also experience the color disappearing and then coming back during the following 6 weeks. The final color is seen 6 weeks post.
• Touch-ups happen 4-6 weeks post appointment. Touch-ups are for any necessary areas and the healing tends to be easier this time, but involves the same process.
